Position – Associate Manager

What you’ll do at Ather

  • Overall accountable for Inprocess Quality Control of Battery & Vehicle Assembly activities in the company & reporting to the Manufacturing Head.
  • Working with the production team on understanding constraints & requirements of assembly processes & support for issue resolution with required data.
  • Participates in the review of Manufacturing & Testing documentation to assure conformance to quality control standards. This includes a review of drawings, machine parameter, production procedures, testing & inspection standards
  • Oversees implementation of engineering changes notices & related document change control.
  • Provide recommendations regarding facilities, equipment & personnel, procedures, and systems to carry out quality control functions.
  • Ensure all quality practices and quality controls are maintained and vehicles are dispatched ensuring all quality deliverables or with signed off deviations.
  • Supervises tagging and quarantine procedures for rejection of in-process & finished product areas. Authorizes rework, scrap, or return to vendor decisions; consults and reviews with operations head, as necessary.
  • Prepare & review complaint trends(Pareto chart). Report serious or repeated failures or unreliability in the quality of product & processes. Recommend corrective actions or plan for overall defect reductions
  • Perform Inprocess quality control functions as Patrol inspection & Root source Analysis (RSA)
  • Drive Continuous improvements to make processes Robust
  • Periodic Evaluation and update of Technical & soft skills in the team, Manage competency matrix of Individuals in the team.
  • Support manufacturing Engineering for PPAP activities for NPD.
  • Work with the Process Excellence team to setup IPQC workflow & review Processes
  • Support Process Excellence team to conduct internal departmental process Audit to support the sustainability

Here’s what we are looking for

  • 6-8 years of experience in Quality control and expertise in understanding the manufacturing process
  • Working experience in development of inspection tools & relations gauges
  • Knowledge of QMS, Statistics (SPC), etc.
  • Understanding of New product development process, PFMEA & control plan.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Mentor Quality members for their development
