Job Description:
As a Verification & Validation Engineer, will be performing bench and flight testing of Asteria’s Unmanned Aerial System products and provide complete system support. Role & responsibilities will be Verification & Validation of all R&D/new product development. To develop flight test plans, prepare remotely controlled aircraft for flight, conduct flight tests of the aircraft as the test pilot, and support other field-testing efforts as required. Will be working closely with other product development engineers on the team to take Asteria’s products through field tests and client demonstrations.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Verification and validation for R&D/new product development on bench and flight level.
- Plan and prepare the system for safe and effective flight testing.
- Coordinate with another engineering team to complete V&V task completion.
- Flight test & evaluation of prototypes & final production units.
- Assist in product documentation & manual development.
- Needs to have hands-on experience with the UAV system assembly process.
- Assist in the development of end-user training documents.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Other applicable engineering field.
Relevant Experience: 2-4 Year
Desired Characteristics:
- Complete understanding of the UAV System and Sub-system.
- Knowledge of RC aircraft/UAV/Multirotor dynamics, control & flight operations.
- Able to diagnose problems.
- Repair/maintenance/resolve issues on prompt time.
- Documentation of System and Sub-system testing.
- Good knowledge of UAV configuration and performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of UAS hardware, software & sensors.
- Must have flying experience in Multi-rotor/Fixed-wing.
- Expert knowledge of UAV configuration, performance evaluation, payload integration, autopilot tuning & repair.
- Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
