As the Draftsman, your day-to-day role would involve the following activities:

• Creating and updating detailed engineering drawings for mechanical parts, product assemblies with exploded views and other drawings with inputs from product design engineers.
• Ensuring that all dimensions, specifications, and details are accurately represented in the drawings.
• Communicating effectively with team members to ensure clarity, legibility, and accuracy in drawings.
• Follow instructions given by the CAD coordinator/ Manager on daily work requirements and adhere to drawing quality standards, workflow structure, and delivery timelines.
• Identify potential issues or problems in the designs and drawings and propose solutions.
• Ensuring proper revision control for engineering drawings.
• Organizing and maintaining drawing files and project documentation.
• Preparing manuals that describe product features, operations, and maintenance.
• Capable of working independently by ensuring effective planning & execution of tasks to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2-4 years of work experience as a draftsman or a design engineer in a relevant industry.
• Education: Diploma in mechanical/aerospace/aeronautical stream.

Desired Skills & Requirements:

• Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SolidWorks 3D, 2D & assembly & SolidWorks PDM.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in drafting, design, and engineering principles.
• Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating drawings and documents.
• Communication Skills: Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 drawing standards.
