Position – Supplier Engineer III

Competencies:
Machining & Fabrication, cleaning, Immersion coating (Ex; Anodizing and plating), Supplier Auditing; Supplier SPC, Problem solving
Key Responsibilities
- Work with New Product Development teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated e suppliers.
- Participation with New Product Introduction teams to ensure suppliers are involved in the development and review of specifications to promote design for mfg.
- Continuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery and technical
- Performing the supplier technical audit process and evaluating supplier performance and capability, drive continuous improvement opportunities at supplier.
- Performing quality problem resolutions and incident management, drive root cause and correction action.
- Work with cross functional teams to implement the identified corrective actions at Factory/ supplier / customer
- Implementing Lean techniques at supplier place with six sigma methodology to improve supplier performance
- Evaluates technical requirements of new and existing products. Applies knowledge of qualified sources and products to recommend materials to Design Engineer savings, lead time reductions, system improvements, increased life and/or mitigated risk.
- Support product development and improvement teams by sourcing new technologies from qualified suppliers.
Functional Knowledge
- Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
- Experience in Semi-Conductor Industry, with Knowledge on Tools and processes of Semi-Conductor manufacturing
Problem Solving Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Education: Master’s Degree / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Travel requirement: 30 % of the time

Job description
General Profile :
Fully demonstrates in-depth knowledge and experience. Assigned as a resource for colleagues with less experience including as a coach/mentor. Works independently, receives guidance in only moderately complex situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads in I.E. projects and programs within areas of responsibility. Assists in the implementation. of these projects into business with quality tools, supporting proactive measures for success.
- Develops and implements manufacturing facility design of plant layout, material handling systems, material staging and warehousing as desired.
- Calculates and maintains capacity data for materials processing, people, space, and equipment. Provides guidance to manufacturing effective and efficient use of assets and production processes.
- Supports strategic implementation of product introductions into volume manufacturing which include manufacturing line design, new tooling development and deployment of specialized tooling and fixtures. Collaborates with other engineers to develop specialized solutions for the assemblies and mainframes.
- Performs Methods Engineering analysis including process flow design, time & motion study and recommends manufacturing line improvements.
- Implement Lean Six sigma methodology at supplier locations to eliminate waste and drive process Improvements.
- Execute Industrial ergonomics techniques to achieve optimal fitting of the work environment and job activities to the workers
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to work with various stake holders in implementing the IE best practices
Functional Knowledge
- Experience in Semi-Conductor Industry, with Knowledge on Tools and processes of Semi-Conductor manufacturing.

- Auto CAD (Computer Aided Design) to design plant/work center layout with rational explanation
