Job description

Executing critical detail design of Generators for all LH & SR generator projects
On-time and error-free release of detail design calculations, generator detail design, component manufacturing drawings, BoMs, purchase specifications
Optimization of the Generator detail designs & constructions considering internal function/strength requirements
Technical support during generator execution, generator component manufacturing related issues at our shop and suppliers
Handling internal queries during project execution from shop, suppliers, SE, PM, etc.
Getting necessary detail design reviews & approvals of designs from Generator CoC, Weiz, Austria. Handling queries from technical experts is Austria
Developing of critical component detail design portfolio at HIN
Continuous improvement of products & processes and collaboration of associated team for development

BE/ ME/ MTech – Mechanical Engineering from an institute of repute.
At least 4 years of experience in handling Generator layouts and/or designs of large rotating electrical machines at reputed companies.
Thorough knowledge of detailed design concepts. Awareness of principles of the mechanical design of generators and overall layout & interfaces is desired.
Understanding of materials used and manufacturing processes involved in the construction of large rotating electrical machines and especially hydro generators.
Experience of technical troubleshooting and technical support.
Solid Mechanical engineering fundamentals
Astute designer’s aptitude & approach
Knowledge & experience of using techniques, CAD, Analytical & FE Calculation tools & processes (NX, SAP, Standards, Calc. tools, etc.).
Knowledge & experience of hydro generator detail design, procurement, quality control, manufacturing, erection & commissioning aspects.
Ability to review own output with regard to quality, time & cost domains.
