Position – Manufacturing Engineer

Exp. – 2 to 4 years

Job description

• This position will be responsible for managing production responsibilities for assembly line(s) by implementing and improving manufacturing processes to achieve improvement in productivity & in cycle time and reduction in waste and defects
• Supervise and manage production responsibilities in shift
• Responsible for following quality system procedures as required and achieve delivery targets
• Identify the root cause of problems and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence in future
• Implementation Poka-Yoke for improving quality and production
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement sustainable corrective actions
• Enhance current line setups to maximize output and improve quality
• Perform appropriate tests for specification and reliability
• Serve as the manufacturing team player to support product development
• Providing guidance to the operators and training them on the job

Functional Competencies

• Ability to apply engineering and scientific principles and disciplines (e.g.: Problem Analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action, SPC, Design of Experiments, etc.)
• The familiarity of tools like Lean Manufacturing, 8D, FMEA & KANBAN
• Good PC skills (MS- Office and Internet)

Qualifications

• BE or BTech in Mechanical / Production with 2-4 yrs. experience (minimum 2 Years of experience in mass manufacturing/assembly of functional products)
• Internal: Quality, Planning, R&D & Purchase
• External: End Customers
