EN-DR-32: Mechanical Engineer (ME) – Integration/Fitting

Purpose of the Job
  • Overseeing Computer Aid Designer (CAD), exercises, and expectations on an area in one Mechanical Space on the project is consistent with QCD responsibilities.
  • Applying material Mechanical Space directions, processes, and apparatuses.

  • Project: Train Design Engineer (TDE), Industrial Lead Engineer (ILE), Project Sourcing Manager (PrSM), Project Planning Manager (PrPM), ILS Manager
  • Site: Obtaining Office (Purchasers), Indus Division, Assembling, Quality Division, and so forth…
  • Taking part Units and CoE: Mechanical Lead Designers (MLE) partners on the related project(s)/program(s)

Missions

Performance Measurement/KPIs

  • Closure of open points or escalation: 10 days maximum
  • Consistency with Engineering WorkPackage (variety orders prohibited): 100 percent
  • Nature of his conveyance (counting sub-worker for hire conveyance): first-time quality rate > 90% (quality rate = alteration approved alright/number of applied change)
  • Regarding the conveyance arranging (counting sub-worker for hire conveyance) = 100 percent on-time conveyance
  • The application level of standard PPL = 100 percent
  • Design the executives of his expectations = 100 percent of expectations appropriately oversaw in the arrangement data set
  • Regard of Cost assignment
Responsibilities

Accountable for:

  • Performing 3D, plan explanations, and 2D expectations in consistence with QCD responsibilities, Metier rules, and cycles.
  • Displaying and putting away assigned volumes and connection points for sub-frameworks/parts in Computerized Model.
  • Performing Definite Plans on inside sub-frameworks.
  • Topping off credits for each part in Advanced Model (naming, material, Fire and Smoke, and so on.)
  • Checking consistency of computerized model (no conflict, and so on) and consistency with necessities (distributed volumes, weight, interfaces, and so on) on the doled out scope.
  • Planning and archiving Mechanical Space Configuration Surveys
  • Refreshing Advanced Model considering Change Solicitations.
  • Checking Lowlifes’ and sub-project workers’ Plan Quality
  • Acknowledging stack-up investigation.
  • Acknowledging Bill of Material.
Responsible for:
  • Planning and piloting Mechanical Domain activities of the assigned zone and related deliverables on a project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific Customer (internal or external) requirements.
  • Applying TD rules, processes, and tools (single-domain) and ensuring Mechanical Domain deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits.
  • Managing production of deliverables in accordance with Planning targets on Mechanical Domain assigned zone.
  • Designing products taking into account project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability, testability, etc.).
  • Preparing and documenting Mechanical Domain Design Reviews according to the project schedule and following up on the main open actions.
  • Checking respect of Allocated volumes/interfaces (no-clashes) on internal design.
  • Resolving Project Mechanical issues in assigned zone.
  • Reporting on Mechanical Domain activities progress and alerting relevant N+1 in case of issues potentially impacting the achievement of QCD commitments.
  • Respecting and/or allocating requirements and mechanical interfaces to Sub-Systems/equipment (Allocated volume, weight, location, 3PL, etc.)
  • Analyzing change request impacts on assigned zone and applying change if request accepted.
  • Validating relevant Mechanical Domain deliverables and securing planning.

Contributor for:

  • Perform quotation of the engineering work package, upon request
  • Defining Project Mechanical Decomposition (PBS)
  • Supporting Sourcing, Industrialization, and Manufacturing teams during Production ramp-up.
  • Collaborating with MDL for continuous improvement of the Domain (including RoE)

Job Specifications

Knowledge & Experience

  • Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with 1 to 2 years of experience.
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customers).
  • Time management and reporting skills.
  • Sense of urgency/priority.
  • Structured and organized with a Hands-on approach.
  • English operational in reading/writing and technical meetings.

Team size

  • Direct functional reporting: 2 to 5 persons
  • Depending on the project size, the scope of accountability represents a workload of up to 10 full-time equivalents (with subcontracting)
