Computer-Aided Design Engineer (CAD)

Performance Measurement

Design Reviews on-time
Design review opened/closed issues
GO tooling on-time
3D freeze on-time
Documentation OTIF
Number of modifications after 3D freeze
Spent engineering hours vs. budget
Respect of rules for CATIA File / DMA

Responsibilities

Designs and draws interior parts of the train in the digital mock-up using Catia V5 and DMA, taking into consideration inputs such as weight, acoustics, eco-design, aerodynamics, and aeronautics
Deploys and applies on project CoE Interior development procedures, catalog, and standard solutions
Optimizes the design of the part to reach recurring and non-recurring cost targets and ensure the committed planning
Works with external engineering sub-contractors and with site CAD engineers.
Checks digital mock-up consistency (no interferences, equipment localization, and volume, interfaces…)
Prepares with Lead Engineer support, design review elements
Calculate stack-up analysis
Is in charge of the detailed BoM consistency.

Educational Requirements & Experience

Engineer educational background
Minimum 3 years experience in the design of mechanical parts

Competencies & Skills

Excellent skills in CATIA V5
Better if knowledge of DMA
English speaking
