- Must be a BE/ B.Tech in mechanical engineering at a minimum from a reputed university
- 3-6 years of experience in working on mechanical product development involving plastic, sheet metal, and diecast components
- Must have sound knowledge of Creo and Windchill
- Good understanding of individual phases in new product development processes- initiation, requirements management, conception, detailed design, verification & validation, handing over for production
- Good knowledge of concept generation, concept selection & prototype build
- Good understanding of various prototyping methods- SLS, SLA, vacuum casting, machining, their utilities, pros and cons
- Good understanding DFMEA process. Ability to read, understand, and contribute for developing a DFMEA
- Good understanding of the DVPR process and contribution to develop a sound validation plan
- Sound knowledge of creating engineering and production drawings using GD&T. Must be able to develop a tolerance stack-up study for critical assembly interfaces
- Understanding of PPAP, assessing deviations
- Good problem-solving skills with exposure to formal root cause analysis (RCA) techniques like developing a fishbone diagram, 5Why analysis
- Basic knowledge of FEA, ability to interact with FEA team (constraints, boundary conditions), reading and interpreting FEA results
- Good experience and understanding of ECR, ECR processes in Windchill. Should have worked on developing a BOM
- Experience of working with cross-functional teams- electronic hardware, firmware, manufacturing, sourcing.
