POSITION SUMMARY
Purpose
To develop a new position in India as a spec writer to support various Global as well as India projects.
Nature and Scope
This position is for Spec Writer, having detailed knowledge & experience in EPC companies as piping material Engineer & SPRD expert.
DIMENSIONS
- Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, DIN-EN & IS Codes and Standard.
- Understanding of Piping Material Specification / Pipe Material classes, branch table etc.
- Awareness of Piping Material Engineer activities like, TBE, Datasheets, VDR, Pressure Test etc.
- Proven working experience on SPRD & awareness SDB structures.
- Should be able to perform Item Mapping, sheet Configurations, Templates, Transfer types etc.
- Loading of SPRD data in to S3D through Bulk load tool in Project Environment.
- Understand, resolution and troubleshooting of the errors in SPRD-SDB during the configuration of the Interfaces with S3D.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Write the Piping Material Specs in SPRD including spec header, branch table and spec header filters.
- Creation of commodity codes and idents for various piping commodities based on ASME, DIN EN, GB standards.
- Shall be responsible for working in table details, object parameter, commodity geometric relation, Filter Geometric, Attributes etc. in SPRD.
- Preparing Piping Material Engineer activities like, TBE, Datasheets, VDR, Pressure Testing etc.
- Resolve RDB’s.
- Resolve SPRD errors & Support to SP3D/SPRD integrator.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical Engineering Degree and work experience of around 7 to 9 years.
- Must be fully conversant with the industry codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, DIN-EN & IS, etc.
- Must have experience in SPRD as a spec writer & must be aware of software such as SP MAT, SPRD, SPPID.
