Overview

Air India invites passionate and ambitious 2024 B.Tech graduates specializing in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Aerospace, and Aeronautical Engineering to join as Graduate Engineer Trainees. This role offers the opportunity to work on live fleet management, troubleshooting, and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and safety for Air India’s fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet Monitoring:
  • Conduct 24×7 monitoring of the in-service fleet to identify and resolve any reported defects promptly.
  • Work proactively to maintain high levels of fleet performance and ensure minimal disruptions.
• AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Recovery:
  • Collaborate across airline departments to rectify and recover AOG situations with minimal impact on passengers.
  • Support operational efficiency by addressing critical issues to expedite aircraft return to service.
• Maintenance and Repairs:
  • Address pilot-reported defects and carry out scheduled maintenance as per the Aircraft Maintenance Manual.
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturer instructions and regulatory standards for all maintenance activities.
• Documentation Review:
  • Evaluate and implement vendor documentation supporting new and in-service aircraft and engines.
  • Stay updated with technical documents and procedures provided by manufacturers to support reliable operations.
• Reliability Analysis:
  • Collaborate with internal departments and manufacturers to identify and mitigate fleet and engine reliability issues.
  • Analyze reliability data, and develop corrective and preventative actions to enhance fleet performance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background:
  • Recent B.Tech graduates (2024) in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of fleet management and aircraft maintenance principles.
  • Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and other technical documentation.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24×7 environment with a focus on quality and safety.
