| Purpose of the Position(Why the job exists in the company & the expected outcome) | Adani seeks an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for Data Centre services applications at Site. It is essential that the Mechanical Project Manager has extensive exposure to mid to large scale Data center / Mission critical projects. You will be an experienced Mechanical Project Manager who will have previously worked for other principal contractors or tier 1 specialist Mechanical contractors. | |
| Principle Accountabilities | Lead the planning efforts in implementing and managing the Integration of projects and timeline of the Datacenter Project at site.Project planning and scoping by working with cross functional partners and internal customers to identify, sequence and package work scopes for execution.Manage Mechanical design, construction, commissioning and closeout of data center capacity augment projects.Provide mechanical engineering guidance and reviews of mechanical engineering works associated with site selection, data center building design;Help develop mechanical engineering guidelines and direction for design standards;Review mechanical designs and provide comments on Basis of Designs, 30%, 65% and 100% design issuances;Review Shop DrawingsWork with all stakeholders to ensure seemless design coordination between all MEP design disciplines.Provide contractor, designer and vendor oversight on a per project basisProvide project management of internal project delivery process to include procurement, scheduling, and internal communication and coordinationWork on site at the location during equipment delivery and installation/commissioning.Provide cost saving solutions and negotiate contractor change ordersAssist with developing capital project budgets and provide BOQ construction cost estimates.Perform constructability and coordination reviews.Utilize the latest construction industry trends and pioneer new trends as they emerge.Ensure best practices and quality work by contractors. Cost control and Certification of works completed at construction sites.Develop and implement strategies and plans to ensure contractor meets or exceeds the project delivery contractually and financially. Measure and report progress.Manage & ensure to certify bill, measurement and invoice during site execution. | |
| Requisite skills: | Functional§ Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor§ Minimum of 7-10+ years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry.§ Heavy experience with conceptual design and/or construction management of chillers, AHUs, cooling towers, CRAC and CRAH units, and other critical HVAC systems§ Client facing / Client relationship / Client Management skills.§ Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects.§ Solid Construction Project Management experience.§ Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face.§ Ability to work independently.§ Solid Admin skills§ Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD a plus | Behavioural§ Strong oral and written communication skills.§ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.§ Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.§ Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.§ Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.§ Established project management skills. |
