Job description
Key Accountabilities:
- Design new engineering products and processes, using Solidworks, Creo, CATIA, Fusion 360 or any other suitable designing software.
- Draft engineering drawings of designed products using any CAD tools.
- Research to improve existing product in aesthetics and performance.
- Analyse prototype parameters & implement design modification.
- Research new ideas in design and ease of manufacturing methodology.
- Study and understand industrial standards; ensure design compliance with industrial standards and safety requirements.
- Conduct structural simulations on designs to identify weaknesses and criticalities using FEM and accordingly improve structures and enable material selection.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk.
- Continually improve product and process designs to achieve higher productivity & quality.
- Prepare technical specifications, operation and maintenance documents; assist in preparation of quality assurance documents.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Qualifications:
Must:
- B Tech in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering or related field.
Desirable:
- M Tech or Equivalent Degree in a related field.
Relevant Experience:
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design of aerospace / automotive/mechanical products using AutoCAD/Solidworks/ Creo/ Fusion 360, CATIA, and structural simulations.
Desirable:
- Knowledgeable in missile technology.
- Experience of having worked with the defense & aerospace sector including DRDO and defense QA agencies.
