You will be working as an R&D Engineer and will be part of the Electrification business area for the Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role, you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for identifying and implementing innovative solutions to relevant problems. Providing ideas and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a Research and development (R&D) team.
Your responsibilities
- Preparing mechanical design concepts and full CAD 3D models. Detailed designing and complete detailed 2D drawings
- Designing of sheet metal parts, casted and machined metal parts, molded plastic parts
- Designing reviews in close communication with other TC project managers and technical experts
- Designing validation through calculations, analysis and testing
- Having an overview of IP in own specialist area and developing project IP strategies
- Identifying and managing risks in research and development (R&D) projects
Your background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in design and development of medium voltage indoor AIS or GIS switchgear is preferred
- Excellent competence with CAD (Pro-E, SolidWorks etc.,), technical drawings and PLM systems is required
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or Windchill is preferred
- Excellent English language skills, written and spoken
