Position – R&D Design Engineer

Exp. – 3 to 4 years

Job description

You will be reporting to Technical Development Manager and will be contributing to Product Design and Development, performing on variety of complex technology and engineering assignments for advanced and innovative techniques.

Your responsibilities

• Preparing mechanical design concept and full CAD 3D models with detailed design and 2D drawings.
• Designing of sheet metal parts, cast, machined metal parts and molded plastic parts.
• Forming metal and manufacturing process knowledge and optimization.
• Reviewing design with close communication with other Project Managers and Technical Experts.
• Designing validation through calculations, analysis, testing.
• Serving as a subject matter expert to the project.
• Providing guidance to colleagues and more junior team members, acting as a mentor, and sharing lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in BE/ME/MTech in Mechanical/Electrical.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in the design and development of Medium Voltage Indoor Air-insulated switchgear (AIS) is preferred.
• Excellent competence with CAD (Pro-E/ Solid works), technical drawings, and PLM systems.
• Preferably design and development of Circuit Breaker.
• Excellent English language skills, written and spoken.
