You will be working as a Project Engineer (Mechanical) and will be part of the Electrification business area for the Smart Power division based in Nashik, India. In this role, you will be reporting to the Project Operations Manager and will be responsible for creating and modifying the standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations, including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction for assignments classified as low to medium complexity by applying standard design concepts.

Your responsibilities

  • Designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification
  • Following work plans and cost estimates for work in one’s area of responsibility and ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost
  • Completing risk and opportunity assessments and the implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility
  • Attending project meetings and presenting specific aspects of design assignments
  • Collaborating with the supply chain function, reviewing vendor documentation, preparing RFQs, providing related evaluation of proposals for standard materials and equipment
  • Assisting in communication with customers pertaining to specific project design assignments or meetings
  • Using standard processes and tools, assisting in developing new processes and tools for the reuse of technical solutions

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Mechanical engineering of Low Voltage Switchgear Panels
  • Hands experience on Autocad and Solidworks for preparation of GA drawings, internal layouts, assembly drawings, and part drawings
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant IEC for mechanical engineering
  • Basic knowledge of Material Master Module in SAP
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure uninterrupted production
