You will be working as a Project Engineer and will be part of the Electrification business area for the Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Project Engineer and will be responsible for acting as a technical or project engineer, approving design deliverables. Reviewing all project documents for conformity, safety, and quality assurance. Anticipating and solving crucial issues and/or unique conditions.
Your responsibilities
- Participates in project meetings and resolves any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations.
- Assisting in preparing proposals or presentations of engineering projects or programs
- Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines
- Developing, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures and tools
- Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements
- Coordinating with manufacturing and testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured or staged and tested
- Ensuring the engineering deliverables are updated post installation and commissioning (if applicable)
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in design or design to order (DTO) or Project Engineering
- Experience in medium voltage switchgear product portfolio (AIS/GIS/RMU/CSS)
- Knowledge on materials and material standards i.e., IS, EN, ISO, DIN, etc. and different manufacturing processes
- Have the ability to work within a virtual organization and to communicate across cultures.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence both internally and externally
