You will be working as a Production Development Specialist and will be part of the Electrification business area for the Smart Buildings division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Manager and will be responsible for optimizing the production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety.
Your responsibilities
- Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities to execute projects on nonvalue added activities reduction and increase productivity by using statistical tools like MOST, VSM-VSD etc
- Releasing scope of supply for a new machine in co-ordination with CFT team, reviewing and monitoring the machine construction delivery time, cost, and performance target
- Co-ordinating with all team members to ensure projects or task completion for switchgear products like MCB, RCCB, Switch Dis-connectors and wiring accessories
- Designing, developing and validating of Jigs, fixtures, and Gauges for existing and new process
- Achieving product target cost and awareness of better material utilization
- Processing audit, modifying and evaluating the existing process design for improvement
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in switchgear and electrical industry
- Experience in manufacturing of Low voltage switchgear
- Hands-on experience of working with CAD 2D/3D packages (Creo. Auto-cad), SAP, Windchill
- Understanding of relevant IEC standards
- Ability to demonstrate success in driving projects to meet targets and deadlines
