You will be employed by the Traction Division’s Motion Business Area and headquartered in Vadodara, India, as an Order Handling Engineer. 

You will be responsible for leading the execution of medium-sized projects in this position and ensuring that all associated activities are carried out in accordance with ABB policy, pertinent cyber security regulations and standards, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety, and environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. You will be reporting to Business Manager – Operations.

Your responsibilities

• provide performance comments for the assigned personnel working on projects, making sure the project complies with ABB standards and best practices for project execution. 
• Monitoring and controlling project development effectively and making efficient use of resources
• Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued
• recording assessments, and disseminating insights gained during the process. coordinating the project’s official approval, contract close-out, and customer acknowledgment in compliance with the contract
• ensuring that contract and claims management are consistently applied throughout the project in compliance with abb rules and contractual commitments. Coordination with supply chain management results in the effective acquisition of the project’s necessary services, supplies, and machinery from both external and internal providers.
• supporting logistics and procurement with supplier negotiations, claims, and project modifications. serving as the primary point of contact for the client and an intermediary for project-related problems.
• establishing and maintaining strong connections with internal and external stakeholders, and communicating clearly with all of them. Making sure the project conforms with and adheres to the organization’s health, safety, and environmental policies
• establishing project HSE planning and ensuring the implementation of uniform HSE guidelines and reporting with all project stakeholders, including collaboration/consortium partners and subsuppliers
• showcasing original efforts and measures to promote site safety and guarantee constant HSE performance proactively using quick-recovery measures to reduce cost overruns and schedule delays

Your background

• BE/B tech in Electrical / Mechanical engineering
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience with commercial knowledge
• Strong Strategic, planning, execution, and organizational skill is a must
