You will be working as Material Planner and reporting to Planning & Fulfillment Manager for Electrification business area Smart Buildings division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory. Sales in excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice. Support internal customer service inquiries. Sets inventory parameters, inventory targets, and ensure adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.

Your responsibilities

• Calculating and maintaining inventory parameters in SAP ERP, Segmenting the portfolio of materials through an ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy
• Defining inventory policies according to this segmentation and minimizing the late backlog, tackling root causes and leading recovery plans
• Monitoring the purchase orders backlog and performing regular expediting activities with internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers
• Establishing and sharing best practices for operations planning, inventory management and resource management
• Compiling and sending regular reports to business leaders on Planning & Fulfillment performance
• Identifying non-performance and drive improvement initiatives, ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production

Your background

• Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in material planning
• Should have Planning, S&OP, purchase, inventory management skills
• Knowledge and experience of Lean manufacturing
