You will be working as Engineer – Procurement, reporting to Procurement Manager for the Electrification business area, Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. You will be responsible for purchasing materials according to the required technical specifications, price, delivery schedules and terms. Ensuring purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities
- Tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensuring invoice processing
- Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolving performance issues
- Initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures
- Confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring and tracking supplier performance to purchase order requirements
- Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price
- Conducting all Procurement and Logistics activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures
- Ensuring the Pro-Supply global supplier relationship management platform is kept updated as defined in the Pro-Supply procedure
Your background
- Bachelor’s diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the purchase department
- Must have experience in SAP system – MM module
- Experience in Switchgear Industry is added advantage
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence both internally and externally
