Job Summary

In order to guarantee the dependability and accessibility of mechanical rotating and stationary machinery at the AIL plant facilities, the Mechanical Condition Monitoring Officer will be essential in creating and putting into place efficient condition monitoring methods.


Key Responsibilities

Condition Monitoring & Reliability

  • Create and put into place reliable condition monitoring systems to keep tabs on the operation of mechanical equipment.
  • Use both offline (such as vibration data collectors) and online (such as machinery monitoring systems and equipment condition monitoring systems) technologies to perform routine condition monitoring.
  • To keep machinery operating efficiently and avoid unplanned downtime, spot and report anomalies.

Data Analysis & Recommendations

  • Analyze historical data to determine the frequency of condition monitoring schedules and reliability improvement programs.
  • Collect and assess reliability and performance data to identify maintenance needs, upgrades, or modifications.
  • Provide recommendations to improve the performance and reliability of plant equipment.

Maintenance Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed condition monitoring and performance checklists, including estimated man-hours and job requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints related to equipment performance or condition.
  • Report vibration analysis results with corrective maintenance suggestions.

Team Management & Collaboration

  • Allocate tasks to team members (associates/engineers) and ensure adherence to asset management guidelines.
  • Assist the Mechanical Support Manager with equipment failure investigations, root cause analysis, and reliability assessments.

Skills & Proficiency

  • Expertise in vibration monitoring and analysis.
  • Proficiency in acoustic air leak surveys, laser alignment, and thermography.
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause and reliability analysis.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and maintenance plans.
  • Team management and task allocation abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in mechanical condition monitoring systems and techniques (experience level open).
  • Proficiency in using condition monitoring tools and technologies.
