Job Purpose
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues in furnaces, rolling mills, conveyors, cranes, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and calibration of machinery.
- Support production teams during machine changeovers, shutdowns, and emergencies.
- Maintain and update maintenance logs, checklists, and spare parts records.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Follow all plant safety rules, participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, equipment improvement, and efficiency enhancement.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repair tasks.
Required Skills (Points)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
- Hands-on skills in welding, fabrication, and basic machining (preferred).
- Familiarity with TPM, 5S, and Kaizen systems (advantage).
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts if required.
