Your Job

We are seeking a proficient and motivated Associate Design Engineer who is competent in CAD tools (preferably UG-NX) and PLM software (preferably Teamcenter/ECTR). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and modifying designs, 3D models, and drawings using Siemens NX software, managing data within Teamcenter, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide Product Design, Development & Modification, Product Testing, Sustenance, and Field Application support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, excellent CAD skills, and a deep understanding of product lifecycle management.

Our Team

This team has global engineering ownership across several Connector Product Lines, provides Product Design and Validation Services, designs and develops Mold & Die Tooling, Gage & Fixture, Product Testing Systems, and Application Tooling services to customers and stakeholders in the Datacom and Specialty Solutions Division located across the globe. The Division primarily provides products and solutions that go into Datacenter and related infrastructure that powers cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc. The position will be part of this engineering team at Molex India Business Services.

What You Will Do

  • Utilize Siemens NX software to develop 3D models and assemblies of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications, and convert them into detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and release packages, within Teamcenter.
  • Manage and organize CAD files, ensuring proper version control and data integrity within Teamcenter.
  • Support design reviews and participate in cross-functional meetings to provide technical insights and recommendations for design improvements.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and verification of parts and assemblies to ensure fit, form, and function.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and production teams to address design-related issues, resolve manufacturing discrepancies, and support the development of efficient manufacturing processes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1-3 years in Product Design, Development & Modification, Product Validation & Testing, Sustenance & Field Application support
  • Working knowledge of material selection, product, and component manufacturing processes
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as molding, sheet metal tooling, fabrication of components, and assembly processes
  • Proficient in using solid modeling software to generate 3D models & 2D drafting
  • Good understanding of G eometric D imensioning & T olerance
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Good knowledge of conventional and advanced Machining, Assembly line process and Prototype techniques.
  • Proficient in Siemens NX, Team Center, and PLM/PDM
  • Experience working in the Connector or related industry
  • Good knowledge and understanding of electromechanical products, components and assemblies
