Key Accountabilities:

• Review the input received from the engineer and understand the scope of work and then plan work accordingly without changing design intent.
• Provide technical expertise in the area of all HVAC systems as a part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering conceptual design, outline design, detailed design and construction support for projects across Stantec.
• Liaise closely with regional stakeholders (regional project leadership), and in some instances external clients; and local RNet (Pune) team members.
• Produce the technical expertise for mechanical deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications) for other business lines (Water, Oil & Gas, Mining, etc.) as required, apart from Buildings, in accordance with applicable standards and codes for the project.
• Ensure quality and schedule for teamwork.
• Coordination with other disciplines, designers, and Engineers as applicable.
• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns to the Discipline Lead/Project Manager/Project Lead.
• Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.
• Attend project meetings and calls as required.
• Train new and less experienced mechanical engineers and designers.
• Undertake other duties as may be assigned from time to time by management.

Person Specifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s (M.E./M. Tech) in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute
• Should have a minimum of 1+ years.
• Ability to perform and review design calculations for HVAC systems.
• Ability to produce and review design calculations, specifications of HVAC related to Building Mechanical projects.
• Knowledge of other disciplines like Civil, Structural, and Electrical.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The person must necessarily have the following skills: – Communication skills – good command of written and spoken English (the position will require a high level of interaction with Stantec engineers, technical staff, project leadership (Project Managers, Project Technical Leaders) in other global offices, and on occasion end client representatives.
