We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Contribute to the teamwork, developing detailed solutions within the concept
- Creating CAD models for the product ranges (parts & assemblies)
- Create 3D Models, Manufacturing drawings for the parts and assemblies
- Generate support documentation from CAD (as applicable), like exploded views, Dim-drawings, P&ID etc.
- Generate pictures from CAD to be used in manuals
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Work experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering
- Experience in Sheet metal Design, Knowledge of manufacturing methods, limitations, Laser cutting and nesting principles, Welding of sheet metal parts, Understanding of mechanisms: bearings, lubrication. Experience in technical documentation, preferably in the mechanical equipment industry
- Knowledge of Sheet metal modules in CAD (Inventor), Vault. Knowledge of Fusion team will be added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of a systematic approach to risk management, like FMEA.
- Capability to make simple strength calculations. Good knowledge of GD&T
