Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Developing and Verifying the Diagnostic, OBD calibration for Electric Vehicles
- 2. Data Analysis and Reporting
- BEV Vehicle build sign off
- Attending altitude expeditions to calibrate and meet customer requirements
- Analysis of Fleet data and reporting
- End-of-Line test plan development and execution
- Work on Diagnostics and Error Handling of Build and Validation vehicles
Skills critical for the role:
1. Basic Knowledge about UDS and OBC principles
2. Knowledge about sensors and Actuators
3. Basic knowledge about Automotive Wiring
4. Basic Knowledge about Battery Electric Vehicles and Regulatory Compliance
5. Knowledge about vehicle components and behaviour
6. Expert in using INCA Software

Job description
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Understand the electrical architecture of HEV/EV
- Conceptualization, Layout, Design, and Development of HEV/EV Lithium-Ion Battery Pack
- Know-how and understanding of BEV layouts
- Know-how on technical details of BMS, DVP specification to suppliers for Battery & E-Drive components/systems
- Understand Control algorithms such as battery controls, battery SOC, SOH estimations, cell balancing, battery life optimization, safety-related controls, configuration of BMS, cell characterization, energy calculation, thermal management
- Understanding of the ISO 26262 compliance for BMS, DFMEA
- Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking
- Coordination with other design departments/ suppliers & related agencies for design and development Activities
- Calibration – having exposure to work on Calibration tools like INCA, Vector tools.
- Basic Vehicle system knowledge and E&E aggregates in the vehicle – EV associated systems like DC-DC converter, On board charger. E motor, HV battery
- Validation understanding of Battery & E-Drive components by making proper test cases in both component, system, and vehicle level so as to give an issue-free product to customer
Skills critical for the role:
1) Good understanding of Li ion Battery technologyWorking
2) Work experience on E machine integration in electric vehicles
3) Li Ion battery pack design testing
4) Safety and test standards for lithium-ion battery and Edrive components
5) Basics of BMS and calibration of the BMS
6) BMS core functions calibration (SOC, SOH) algorithms
7) Basics of Lithium Ion Cells (Basic Characteristics, Types of Li Ion batteries)
